Spooky Season reading time!! This gem of a book (isn't it gorgeous?!) arrived last month and I'm FINALLY diving in. And just like every book from Erin A. Craig, I'm absolutely loving it so far. I'm so happy to add this beauty to my shelf of signed books by my Top 5 authors!

Rebecca is my mama's favorite book, and after many years of wanting to read it, I finally did. And Mama? You've got great taste.

I love a haunting story, and Rebecca definitely delivered for me. I enjoyed the incredible imagery du Maurier painted. It was so saturating that it nearly bled into being, allowing me to easily step through the pages and into Manderley. With a setting so vivid, the story easily grew from it, capturing me instantly. And with spooky season upon us, foggy mornings and early dusks make for the perfect reading backdrop.

I thought today was going to be any other regular Wednesday, but my amazing husband organized a surprise day off for my birthday. He took me to a lovely little book store and told me to pick out whatever I wanted. I came home with these three lovelies. I can't wait to read them!

My historical fiction and mystery loving heart fell for Maisie Dobbs in an instant. Set in 1929, Maisie is setting up her detective agency in London, preparing to start out on her own without her mentor, Maurice.

A case lands on her desk that is pretty straightforward, but it leads to something far bigger. To understand why the case means so much to Maisie, we delve back into Maisie's life and really dig into who she is. We follow her through WWI and get a front row seat to the things she witnessed as a nurse near the frontlines in France.

If you enjoy historical fiction, lady detectives, intricate storylines, and long series (there are currently 18 books), Maisie Dobbs is your gal.
