What on earth is a beta reading subscription, you ask?

Most people search out a beta reader when they’re finished with their first draft and have polished it up as best they can. (If that’s where you’re at, check out this page instead.) But what if you’re in the middle of a work in progress and want feedback on how things are progressing so far? That’s where the Beta Reading Monthly Subscription comes in!

This subscription package is for those that are currently working on a book and need more consistent feedback, motivation, or just a hype gal in their corner. Submit up to 40K words a month and get the feedback you need to make your book the best it can be. Think of this more as alpha reading. I’m here to help!

What can you expect?

• I only take on 5 subscriptions at a time. I want to ensure that I can devote enough time to each author and not overwork myself. If you contact me for this service and all slots are filled, I can add you to the waitlist and get back to you as soon as I have a spot available. There is no cost to be on the waiting list.
• My job is to provide feedback on your story and help you make it the best possible. That does not mean, however, that I’m going to write it for you or give you plot ideas, character ideas, etc. Ultimately, this is YOUR story. And I want it to be amazingly and authentically you!
• You can expect a turnaround time of 7-14 days from the time of submission.
• Payments are accepted through PayPal only at this time. The cost of payment is due upon submission and is nonrefundable.
• I work primarily in Google Docs, as I find it the easiest format to leave in-line comments and feedback.
• I will not disclose details of your work, and I will not provide a review as this is not a review service.
• I reserve the right to, at any time, issue a full refund for materials that I do not feel I am best suited to beta read.

Subscription Packages

The Basic Cuppa – $45 a month (3 month minimum)

• A full read-through of your monthly submission (40k word max)
• A half-page review letter that will encompass feedback on your hook, overall plot, characters and development, readability, pace, plot holes, overall tone and vibe of your book, and more. Basically, all of my feedback, thoughts, comments, and constructive criticism in one place.

Cream and Sugar – $60 a month (3 month minimum)

• Everything included in The Basic Cuppa plus:
• In-line comments, reader reactions, and editing suggestions*.

*PLEASE NOTE: I am not an editor. Editing suggestions could include noting a misspelled word, missed punctuation, or grammatical errors. These are SUGGESTIONS ONLY. I’m only human and I make mistakes as well. Double-check these suggestions before fully accepting them if you choose to make changes..

Add-ons

• A question from the author to be answered in the review letter (up to 5 questions per month) – $5 per question.
• A 30-minute Zoom conference call to discuss your work – $50
